Northants hit back against Yorkshire

Northamptonshire have hit back on day one of their LV= County Championship match with Yorkshire at Headingley.

This is after they only lost one wicket during the afternoon session to reach tea on 155-6 in their first innings.

David Murphy was the man to go for 40, when he was caught behind by Jonny Bairstow off the bowling of Ryan Sidebottom.

However, that was as good as it got from the Tykes as Northamptonshire fought back from their lunchtime total of 62-5.

At the interval, Andrew Hall was unbeaten on 45, with Con De Lange on 21.
