Bulls coach Mick Potter is boosted by the return of three players for Sunday's Magic Weekend showdown with Leeds but Jamie Langley has been ruled out by an Achilles injury.

Brett Kearney has missed the past five games due to a foot problem but is set to return at full-back, with Elliot Kear switched to right wing.

Adrian Purtell has shrugged off a niggling hamstring strain and should line up in the centres alongside Keith Lulia at the Etihad Stadium.

John Bateman is also back in the squad after a three-match suspension but Langley misses out through injury and there is no place for Shaun Ainscough or Tom Olbison.

Bulls squad: Addy, Bateman, Burgess, Diskin, Elima, Gale, Hargreaves, Jeffries, Kear, Kearney, Kopczak, L'Estrange, Lulia, Manuokafoa, Platt, Pryce, Purtell, Walker, Whitehead.

Although we have improved a bit, for me, Langers is a big loss for this game, especially with it being a derby! He offers loads in games, and has a good and positive effect on the team when he plays!
Having said that, if we can play at our very best tomorrow we will be in with a good shout. Burrow was very good for Leeds against saints on Monday, and with him back in the side the tempo at which they play has quickened a great deal! We really have to irritate them and niggle at them to put them off thier game. If Elima can pull out his nastiness then he will rile their pack up! COYB!

Babarian Mike... You have a sound knowledge of rugby as you can see what Langers brings to the team. He is a quailty player and a work horse. 40+ tackles & 20+ drives per game... we are a better team with him

What has Ainscough done wrong? Here we have a player with pace to burn and who gives 100% yet he is left out. We now have two centres in Lulia & Purtell who give their wingers excellent service and with Aincough and Kear we have a very fast three quarter line. Shame about Langley though as we will miss his tackling and on the field inspiration.

If all three team were as enthusiastic as ainscough we'd be inthe to four.

Still, have the team to beat Leeds, and if 3 points clear isn't enough motivation we're doomed.

There was a time when Langley would be sorely missed. Now, thankfully, he is just missing and players are there, ready to step up to the plate. Some good fixtures and some poor fixtures. I liked the comment that the fixtures are only finalised the week before, re: 1 v 2, 3 v 4 etc. But then, it would unlikely be the financial draw of so many derbies although Catalan v Huddersfield should have been in there, at least to balance it out. Salford v London would have given both sides a chance of valuable points.

Mumby was the best says...

I think we will miss Langley he gets thru a tremendous amount of unglamorous graft, definately not the most creative with ball in hand but still needed out there.
Worry is who are we going to put against Ryan Hall? If its Pryce Hall will have a field day.
