Waheed Rehman a big-hitter for Attock United

Waheed Rehman’s century set Attock United on course for a thumping top-flight West Riding Sunday Council victory over AMCC.

Attock’s batsmen made light of the slow pitch as Rehman (140) and Atiq Rehman (67) guided their side to 278.

Azad Arif then took four wickets in as many balls on his way to a 5-47 return as AMCC were crushed by 122 runs.

Kashmir head the early table after three successive wins as new boy Mohammed Sanaullah took 5-35 to help rush out Khan for 67 in response to his side’s modest 115.

Attock Sweet Centre also won for a third time, beating Manningham by five wickets despite the best efforts of Asad Ali (53). Saqib Mehmood struck 58 not out in the successful reply.

In the lower division, Shamms logged a welcome first win as Usman Ali’s 50 not out helped beat a below-strength Prajapati side by six wickets. Prajapati had posted just 98.

Newcomers Attock Tigers mauled Mayfield Royals by 132 runs to 57, while Diamonds dazzled last week’s winners Westfield Park as their 144 proved too big a target. Sajad Khan hit 51 of Park’s 110.

Mr Fixit DIY beat Skipton Kashmir by 15 runs as Mohammed Saleem took a decisive 5-32.
