Silsden 1, St Helens Town 1
Silsden conceded another last-minute goal as they were forced to settle for a North West Counties League point from the Premier Division visit of lowly St Helens Town.
The Cobbydalers put the visitors under pressure in the first half and goalkeeper Chris Brinksmann had to be agile to deny Mike Garrod in the 13th minute.
Soon after that a corner created panic in the home defence and Danny Husband slotted home, only to have his celebrations cut shot by an offside flag.
Both sides wasted good chances early in the second half, with Dave Berry firing wide for the visitors when it looked easier to score and Joe Gaughan straying offside for Silsden.
Gaughan made up for that misdemeanour when he slotted in a penalty just before the hour mark after Danny McNulty had been pushed in the area.
But the last-gasp equaliser was agonising as Chris Quirke’s long-range shot was palmed onto the post by home keeper James Mann, only for the ball to trickle along the line and go in off the other upright.
