Silsden 1, Bootle 1
An injury-time equaliser denied Silsden maximum Premier Division points at home to Bootle in the North West Counties League.
The goal left the Cobbydalers deflated – not least because they believed it had been swept in from an offside position.
The draw it earned Bootle was not enough to keep the Merseysiders in the top three as they dropped to fourth.
Silsden had matched their high-flying visitors in the goalless first half but were marginally the better side after the break.
The deadlock was broken in the 55th minute when Danny Bryan picked up a long John Douglas through-ball and he cut across the area, beating one man before sliding the ball under Bootle’s keeper.
The visitors hit back in the last of the four minutes added on when Ryan Wilkinson turned the ball past James Mann.
