Savile United produced the shock of the day in the SONDER HEATING CUP as they beat Thornhill United Seniors 1-0.

Soyeb Bham’s goal earned the Division One strugglers a semi-final place in the Spen Valley League knockout competition at the expense of their Premier opponents.

Division One leaders Vision were unable to match this feat as they were crushed 7-0 at Premier high-fliers Jardy Boys.

Johnny Beverley and Jordan Ledgard netted twice apiece, backed up by Rob Ives, Mirnes Medic and Oliver Mitchell, with Joe Lylles named man of the match.

BD3 United won a penalty shoot-out 8-7 to scrape through after drawing 3-3 with West Bradford Spartans. Salad Ali (2) and Talat Mahmood netted for BD3, with Bobby Canning (2) and Sam Prest responding.

Another all-Premier tie saw Fairbank United win 2-0 at higher-rated Girlington, with Usman Nawaz and Faisal Shabbir scoring the long-range goals.

The day’s only PREMIER DIVISION match saw Bradford move three points clear at the top after a penalty earned a 1-0 win over battling Ravensthorpe Rangers.

Oakwell hit back from a goal behind to edge out struggling Inter Batley 2-1 and close to within three points of DIVISION ONE pace-setters Vision. Arshad Navsarka saw his strike overturned by David Martin and Ashley Barnes.

Third-placed Marsh swamped Thornhill United Seniors B 5-0 with goals from Andrew Milner, man of the match Mark Wigley, Loz Balmforth, James Parkin and Josh Wood.

ALC stay fourth after beating Norfolk 3-1 as Adam Wilson, Ashley Dutton and Dave Niblock outscored Ilyas Lunat.

And fifth-placed BD3 United Reserves moved three points clear of Bradford All Stars, who are sixth, by defeating them 5-3. Goals by Safraz Akhtar (2), Syeez Hussain, Shaukat Mohammed and Ibraheem Betraoui outweighed replies from Misbah Choudhry, Tahir Mohammed and Muddassar Udrees.
