Defender Aidy White says the Leeds players are enjoying working under the temporary guidance of Neil Redfearn.
Under-18s coach Redfearn was handed the senior reins last week following the sacking of Simon Grayson and began his tenure by steering the Whites to a 3-0 win at Bristol City.
Redfearn has been told he will be in charge for at least the next three games and his interim appointment has won the approval of the squad.
White said: “I enjoyed playing under him for the under-18s so I know what he can do and what a good manager he is.
“We’ve just got to concentrate on that. The past is the past and we’ve got to move on.
“It must have been a difficult decision because of what Simon did here. But whatever the club decides to do is what we’ll do.”
Leeds are just two points outside the Championship play-off places ahead of this weekend’s home clash with Brighton.
A host of potential candidates have been linked with the job of succeeding Grayson but it would seem that Redfearn is in pole position.
White said: “You hear a lot of rumours and names. One day it’s this person, the next it’s another. Whoever does get the job, we will enjoy working with them.
“We’re round about the play-offs. We’re not far away at all and that’s what we want.
“Automatic promotion would be fantastic but the play-offs are there at the moment, we’re close and it’s anybody’s.”
White added: “Personally I do want to play for Redders. I think he’s a great manager and he must have a chance.”
