Oakbank Table Tennis Club’s Ffion Myers has proved a big hit at the first Keighley open table tennis championships.

The 12-year-old from Cross Roads won the under-13 girls’ singles and only lost the under-15 girls’ singles on a countback at the inaugural Keighley Cadet and Junior Open Two-Star Championships at Keighley Table Tennis Centre.

And there was almost a second title for what is a small club.

Bingley’s William Nash, also 12, reached the under-13 boys’ semi-finals only to lose to a top-ten England ranked cadet, Alex Ward from Cleveland.
