Haworth’s Chloe Hurd picked up two medals in the British Gas National Diving Cup at Southend-on-Sea last weekend.
The Leeds City College Aquatics member finished second in the women’s three-metre synchro, partnering Grace Reid (Edinburgh Diving).
They scored 282.21 points to be defeated by new City of Leeds pairing Hannah Starling and Rebecca Gallantree, who only had one training session together but still scored 291.06 points.
However, Hurd and Reid pushed Plymouth’s Shanice Lobb and Kayleigh Sinclair into bronze with 263.88 points.
The Haworth girl also won a bronze in the women’s one-metre springboard.
She scored 245.95 points to finish behind Crystal Palace’s Rhea Gayle, who totalled 267.20, and City of Leeds’ Alicia Blagg (266.25).
As reported in Monday’s Telegraph & Argus, Bradford Esprit Club member Sam Thornton won silver in the men’s three-metre synchro with Daniel Goodfellow (Cambridge Diving Team) with 340.08 points.
