Just three Spen Valley League fixtures survived the icy weather and Ravensthorpe Rangers took advantage to ease any lingering relegation fears.
Their home match against second-bottom Thornhill United Seniors was the only PREMIER DIVISION game to be played and it finished 2-1.
Thornhill were leading at half-time thanks to Aron Kennedy’s strike but goals by Fessy and Iby turned the tables as Ravensthorpe moved eight points clear of their opponents.
Their was a similar situation in DIVISION ONE as Savile United pulled away from the three teams below them with a 4-1 win at rock-bottom Inter Batley.
Suleman Varviava netted for Inter but his goal was swamped by those from Faisal Adam (2) Abdul Hai Mulla and Mushin Achha.
One other game saw mid-table duo Bradford All Stars and Marsh finish all square at 1-1.
Darren Bolton’s goal gave hosts All Stars an interval lead but Marsh hit back to equalise through Josh Wood.
