Daley is loving life in Scotland after hooking up again with Stuart McCall at Motherwell.
But the Jamaican will always regret that he had to leave Valley Parade – and the bitter manner of his departure.
Daley, who will be up against Steve Williams today on the defender’s Inverness debut, said: “I’d come in to the club to sign a two-year contract just before I went home to Jamaica.
“But then I got told that Peter Jackson was no longer interested in keeping me.
“He’d brought me back from Rotherham and after I scored against Aldershot, he gave me his word that I would be looked after at the end of the season.
“I felt he betrayed me a little bit when that didn’t happen. That’s football but it is not a nice feeling.”
