Gareth Raynor wants to defy the critics and play on for another two seasons.

The 33-year-old winger today signed a new one-year Bulls deal, with the option for a second, determined to enjoy an Indian summer.

He said: “For some players, the body will tell them when the time’s up and some players will lose enthusiasm.

“Touch wood, I’ve still got the enthusiasm and my body’s telling me there’s still miles on the clock yet. Not just to tick through but to have an impact on what I do.

“I’m delighted and now we just need to get some results.

“I’ve probably never trained as hard at any time in the last five years as I’m doing now at Bradford.

“That’s paying off and hopefully it will start to pay off for the team as well.”
