Bradford Dudley Hill out to spoil St Patrick's day

Bradford Dudley Hill return to the cut and thrust of the survival battle when Wigan St Patricks arrive at Parry Lane for a vital National Conference Premier clash.

The Wigan side are struggling after many years in the top flight.

They occupy the third relegation spot and have the same number of points as Dudley Hill, who are immediately above them in the table.

The result is of the utmost importance to both sides, with Hill coach Jason Lee saying “We need to turn up with the same desire that saw us win so convincingly in the National Cup last week.

“I have drafted ball playing prop Kyle Bateman into the squad to give us a few more options.

“St Pats have signed a couple of ex pros from Blackpool Panthers and will be no pushovers but we have prepared well and the lads are up for it.”

West Bowling also face a crucial Division Two re-election battle at Heworth. They have dropped to the bottom through a combination of cup ties and bad weather.

West Bowling know they must gain revenge for the shock 26-4 home defeat at the hands of the York side, who are one place above them in the table.
