Bradford & Bingley start their National League Three North campaign at home to Rossendale on Saturday with Mark Gemmell, 19, and Richard Scull, 21, at half-back.

But the Bees' director of rugby Nic Corrigan isn't concerned about throwing two youngsters into league rugby in such imprtant positions.

He said: "Part of my ethos is developing youngsters, and I am not worried by the selections. League rugby is where they will learn."

Since last weekend's 20-7 defeat at Huddersfield in the first round of the Centurion Yorkshire Cup, Corrigan said: "We have been working at cleaning up the breakdown area so we don't get isolated in one-on-one battles.

"I am looking forward to Saturday, we have a good head coach in Stuart Dixon and Rossendale will give us a good test."

Bradford & Bingley (home to Rossendale): B Greaves; A Sutcliffe, G Stead, J McBirnie, T Gough; R Scull, M Gemmell; R Wederall, J Whitfield, J Moss, R Hughes, M Mitchell, A Shields, G Ford, T Cokell. Replacements: J McArthur, J Holland, P Greaves.
