Bradford Ladies suffered their third consecutive defeat of the season in a closely-fought match against Lancashire opponents Vernon Carus.
Bradford were a little wayward with the ball and some below-par fielding allowed Vernon Carus to score 184 in 40 overs.
Wendy Brown took three for 33 and got her team off to a solid start with 38, but her wicket was the first of a mini-collapse and it looked like an embarrassing defeat was on the cards.
A middle order unbroken 85-run partnership between Anne Miller (33no) and Yvonne Baines (49no) raised hopes, but they fell 13 short of their target.
Bradford can take some comfort from an improved batting performance.
