Guiseley under-16s are celebrating an unprecedented season of success.

They won the League Cup last week to secure the treble, having already bagged the league title and the District Cup.

They are now looking forward to competing in the invitation only Liverpool-Knowsley International Youth Soccer Tournament in Liverpool at the end of July.

They clinched the Craven ‘A League’ for the second year running, winning by an impressive 11-point margin, with Undercliffe Celtic and Stanningley Albion sharing the runners-up spot.

The Craven ‘A League’ is regarded as one of the most competitive under-16 leagues in the county, with four of its teams reaching the last eight in the District Cup.

Guiseley beat Ilkley Town 1-0 in the final of the Wharfedale & District Cup, held at Nethermoor.

In the semi-finals, they knocked out Horsforth St Margaret’s, winning 2-0.

Then, with the treble in sight, they dispatched Bradford Park Avenue 2-0 in the semi-finals of the League Cup before conceding their first goal in eight games against Fairbank United in the final at Silsden.

But Fairbank were still no match for Guiseley, who fought back to win 3-1.
