Matthew Clough took his season’s goal tally to 45 with another hat-trick as Bingley Bees rounded off their title-winning campaign with a 5-1 win against Huddersfield Dragons sixths.
The Bees switched their line-up around with the championship already secured, captain Ben Clough standing in as goalkeeper and Matt Griffiths having a rare run-out on the left wing.
Clough opened the scoring and was denied a second goal moments later by a good save but Bill Livingstone pounced to score his first of the season as the ball came back off the keeper’s pads.
The Dragons replied with a smartly-taken goal but Bingley kept up their relentless pressure and were rewarded with two further goals from Clough.
The last few minutes of the game saw a sharp short- corner routine finished off by Stephen Clough as the Bees finished the season on a high.
