Stanningley Albion of Division 3B were crowned Bradford Sunday Alliance League AMATEUR CUP champions after beating Division 3A opponents New Inn Celtic 2-1 in the final at Manningham Mills.

Both teams head their respective leagues but they struggled on a difficult surface.

Albion went in front through Andy Kenyon before the 3A team equalised. Jordan Smith then put Stanningley in front just before the interval and they never looked like losing the lead.

West Bowling kept up their pursuit of Buttershaw White Star in the PREMIER DIVISION with a good team performance at Silsden, with Damian Melvyn hitting a hat-trick and Darrel Leach grabbing a brace in a 6-1 win.

Bowling welcomed back Jack Murphy for his first match after injury and he obliged with a well-taken goal.

Clayton Orient hit Relay Recruitment for seven goals, with Nicky Brack notching a hat-trick and Andrew Field chipping in a couple.

Queensbury ended a long run of draws by beating Baildon Trinity 2-1. Man of the match Andy Atkinson and teenager Andy Wood scored.

In DIVISION ONE, Cuedos Rangers did not help their promotion bid with a 3-2 loss to Ventus United.

Terry Hargreaves hit a tremendous equaliser for the visitors after a John Jakes volley had given them the lead.

Dudley Hill Rangers hit double figures against Wyke Wanderers to give their own promotion prospects a lift if they win their matches in hand. Andy Bailey scored twice in the 10-1 outcome.

In DIVISION 1A, Wibsey WMC said goodbye to long-serving secretary Steffan Garside but they could not present him with three points, losing 3-1 to Mill Lane.

Nigel Asquith scored the final goal for Wibsey but that was no answer to Mark Consterdine, Carl Canoville and Robert McGovan.

At the top, a nine-goal thriller saw leaders George Hotel edge out Buttershaw Celtic. But second-placed Stocks Lane Rangers also collected maximum points with a 3-1 victory over Fiddlers Three.

Manningham FC are in the frame after thrashing Bolton Woods Socials 6-1, Adam Jones firing a hat-trick.

Thackley Shoulder had a comfortable 2-0 victory over Dog & Gun, with Peter O’Hagan scoring on the hour for the hosts.

In DIVISION 1B, Great Northern were crowned champions with a 3-0 win over Wrose Bull. Ryan Wood, George Leigh and Warren Rooney were all on target.

Second-placed Gaping Goose were surprised 5-2 by Bolton Junction Inn.

Junction Thornbury closed the gap at the top with a good performance against Royal FC. Michael Ferguson and Vic Bentley gave the visitors the lead in the first half but a strike from Anthony Brear pulled back the deficit at the interval.

In the second half, Latvinder Singh scored his usual goal and the Beal brothers, Mark and Glen, were on the mark for Thornbury.

Adam Hard hit two first-half goals to give Dudley Hill Reserves a halftime lead against Saltaire Rangers – but the hosts responded with four after the break. In the battle at the bottom, FC George beat St George 3-1.
