Whetley Lane overcame the absence of several key players to beat Liverpool side Nicosia 4-3 on penalties after extra time in the FA Umbro Vets Cup.
Man of the match Phil Licence was on target as the game finished 1-1 and also netted one of the spot-kicks in the shoot-out.
Robert Banes, Tim Capewell and Martin Kemp all excelled as Lane advanced to the quarter-finals.
