Eccleshill United's form in Division One of the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League has blown just as hot and cold.

They bounced back from a 7-0 embarrassment last Saturday to win 5-1 away in midweek, despite going a goal down.

They remain second from bottom after a season to forget but still have enough games in hand to push for a respectable finish.

They host Teversal on Saturday, who are 13th and boast an 11-point advantage.

Eccleshill have enough games in hand to catch Teversal, though, and manager Mark Senior will be looking to instil the consistency that has been missing in the few games he has overseen so that the club has a good run-in.
