Two clubs are battling to fill the vacancy in Group C of the Bradford Mutual Sunday School Cricket League.
That gap is currently filled by a blank date in the fixtures but Bradford Property Rentals (BPR) B and Bowling Baptist are to face a vote at Monday’s league meeting at Carlton House, Little Horton Lane, with the team with the most votes getting the nod.
However, both clubs have to overcome an issue. BPR B need to find another ground as their first team would clash with them in the already-published fixtures, while Bowling Baptist’s problem is finding enough players.
The vote will be the first item on the agenda on Monday.
Mayfield, meanwhile, are celebrating. They have been awarded a £5,000 grass-roots grant from Cnet of Canal Road, Frizinghall, for renovation of their toilet block and sewerage work.
