Wolves star to miss Bulls clash

Warrington Wolves will take on the Bulls without key playmaker Lee Briers.

The veteran stand-off has missed the last two games with an ankle injury and has not been included in Tony Smith's 19-man squad for Saturday's game.

It means either Simon Grix or the returning Richie Mathers are likely to fill in at No 6, partnering England starlet Richie Myler in the halves. Myler has recovered from a bruised toe that kept him out of last week's win against Crusaders.

Wolves squad: Louis Anderson, Vinnie Anderson, Ryan Atkins, Chris Bridge, Garreth Carvell, Simon Grix, Ben Harrison, Chris Hicks, Mickey Higham, Matt King, Richie Mathers, Michael Monaghan, Adrian Morley, Richie Myler, Chris Riley, David Solomona, Ben Westwood, Rhys Williams, Paul Wood.

Briers might be knocking on a bit but hes a tricky customer and he inpires his teammates no end. We have a better chance now hes out

Well, at least it'll be a quiet game. No little s**t chattering on to the referee!

I think we have the ammo to beat Wolves, just hope we get a decent ref who will keep eye on Morley and Carvell with their dirty play.
Myler, King and Monaghan key for them so lets get into them big time! Sure Ox will give Myler a hard game and we need huge game from L'estrange to take us forward.

Agree with Adey, Briers out no moaning to ref every 5 seconds!

COYB!!!

Is this the s**t kettle calling the pot black?
Give credit where credit is due. Briers is a good player and probably an advantage for us that he is not playing.

Glad Briers is not playing, I hate him more than any other playing the game (and that includes the whole Rhinos squad).
Will always remember him scoring a try and then going to sit in the crowd to applaud himself.
Rant over!

Oh please, Get a room why don't ya! of course it's an advantage he's not playing, but I, like many others in Super League, won't be shedding a tear when he retires!

Agree 1 helluva player but what an irritating little s**t - when he's not whinging to the ref he'll be milking penalties. Any chance he get's, he goes down like hit by a sniper to get players sinbinned or worse....
