Sheriffe set to face Wolves

Rikki Sheriffe is set to return to action against Warrington Wolves on Saturday after recovering from a hamstring strain.

The winger was included in Steve McNamara's squad for last week's win against Wigan despite carrying the injury but is now fit again.

The 19-man squad is unchanged for the sixth week running, with Michael Platt not yet ready to make his comeback.

Platt should return in the Under-20s clash with Warrington at Wilderspool, also on Saturday (1.30pm).

Bulls squad: Dave Halley, Rikki Sheriffe, Paul Sykes, Chris Nero, Stuart Reardon, Brett Kearney, Matt Orford, Nick Scruton, Heath L’Estrange, Andy Lynch, Steve Menzies, Glenn Hall, Jamie Langley, Wayne Godwin, Michael Worrincy, Craig Kopczak, Jason Crookes, Elliott Whitehead, James Donaldson.

Crookes out, Sheriffe in. Worrincy out, Donaldson in. Job's a good 'un!

Never thought i'd say this but..That's a relief.

Same as Adey, but Worrincy will probably play again unless he decides to rest Elliot for some odd reason.

Sheriffe is crap. Keep Crookesy and Reardon on the wings and Worrincy on the exercise bike with Donno on at the start

Don't think there's a lot to choose between the wigers at odsal. but sherriff was beginning to form a good partenership with sykes before he was injured.
none of our three quaters are what you would call match winners. Still think team would benifit from switching reardon and halley. think they would both be in a position they feel mors at home in.
rest of team i feel sure are as good if not in some places better than wire.
A win in this would be just great for bulls. and if they play as in the second half against wigan there's no reason why they can't win.
if they start as they did in the first half against wigan they will get thrashed.
here's hoping.

Pity we hadn't loaned Shaun Ainscough from Wigan,he's certainly doing the business for Cas.

Ainscough is a good winger but how many times do we hear about some of our players not being good enough because they are not six feet tall - yet Ainscough is OK and he is a midget. Sherrife is starting to play well with a very good Sykes. We need to stop nit picking as we can't afford to sign international star players and use what we have. Six month ago it seemed like everyone was calling for the youngsters to be given a chance. Now that some are - and they are doing reasonably well, some people are asking for them to be dropped. Crookes actually played well. He is a young lad who needs encouraging and giving time. Youngsters make errors and we have to put up with that at times. Ainscough was released bu Wigan. If he was perfect he would be playing for them. They prefer Richards and he did walk over Crooks - once, but that can be expected at this stage of his career. We have some great youngsters but they are not the finished product now. It may be another few years before they are at the top of their game. We have to be patient and put up with some mistakes and not dump them.

Keep Reardon on the wing? What have you been watching? He seems to forget where the wing is. He drifts that far in field he may as well be playing full back with Halley!Crookes did well against Wigan so why not keep giving him some more game time...as the team play together more they'll be able to swap the wings and centres without it causing too many problems (or should be able to in theory) but why break up the right side partnership when its working? Sheriffes had a good start to the season - showing more of the player that we saw when he was at Quins.

why break up the partnership at the moment while the team are still getting used to each other. out of the two its the left side that needs work (just in case anyone picks up on the contradiction thought i'd explain it)

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. He either plays the youngsters and if we lose the fans call for his head, if he doesn't play the youngsters the fans call to play the youngsters. Rock|Macca|Hard place!
