Liversedge must go into Saturday's Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division derby clash with Thackley short of match practice as they have still not played since mid-December.
The only thing in Sedge’s favour is home advantage as rivals Thackley boast the higher league placing and better recent form. The Reds have also played three times since the big freeze relented.
Sedge had hoped to be back in action last Saturday but they were thwarted by a waterlogged pitch at Selby Town.
Thackley did get a game, beating Shirebrook Town 3-0. They also had a friendly before that and one against neighbouring Brighouse Town this midweek.
Before the unscheduled mid-winter break, Sedge and the Reds were evenly matched on 29 points and poised to mount a promotion push in the second half of the campaign.
Sedge have played two games less now but are still waiting to break through the 30-point barrier, while fifth-placed Thackley are one point away from 40 for the season.
