BRADFORD & DISTRICT SEA AC

At our general meeting on Tuesday, all members paid their respects to dear friend Mick Robinson with a minute’s silence. Mick sadly past away last week while on holiday in Egypt. There was a big turn-out for the meeting, with one or two we had not seen for some 15 years. The funeral will be held in Bradshaw church on Thursday at 2.15pm. Any club member wishing to go may do so. A trip to Hartlepool has been organised for Saturday, February 13. There are two places left. Anyone wishing to go should telephone Brian on 07901-717615 to book a place.

SALTAIRE AA

The thaw led to high, fast flowing and coloured river conditions preventing last Sunday’s match going ahead. To book on for Sunday’s river match, telephone Barrie on 07917-828826. Half-an-hour’s ice breaking allowed Sunday’s canal match to go ahead. This was won by John Leedham with 4lb 14oz. Second was Paul White with 4lb 4oz. BRADFORD CITY AA

The River Ure at Boroughbridge is fishing well for bream, roach and perch. The club’s next match is on Sunday. Tickets are £12 and are available from the match secretary on 07706-573115. Meet at Brampton Farm at 8am for prompt 8.30am draw.

KEIGHLEY AC

Last week’s match on the river Aire was cancelled due to the river being flooded. The next match on the river will be on Sunday, January 31, draw at 8.45am on Steeton Bridge. This match will be organised by Jeff Noon. Telephone 01535-601557 to book.
