Femi Fehintola kept his hand in with a comfortable victory in Sheffield.
The Bradford fighter is warming up for his homecoming show on February 6 when he will headline at the Hilton Hotel for the African international super-featherweight belt.
Fehintola claimed his 21st professional win with a 60-55 decision in a six-rounder against veteran journeyman Daniel Thorpe.
The pair had met before in 2005, when Fehintola edged victory by a single point. But this time it was far more convincing at the Octagon Centre against an opponent with well over 100 bouts to his name.
