BRADFORD SEA AC: The trip to Liverpool Bay last Saturday was poor, with only small fish being caught. This was mainly due to too much fresh water coming into the estuary which pushed the fish out into the bay. The results were: 1 Ben Kitchingman (with two codling), 2 Jeff Forrest (with six small whiting), 3 Jon Gregg (with two small whiting). Our next general meeting will be held at the Girlington Conservative Club on Tuesday, December 15 at 8pm. This is our annual Christmas get-together and includes a giant raffle and buffet. Please remember to bring a raffle prize if you want a raffle ticket. Wives, girlfriends and boyfriends are welcome. We would like as many members as possible to attend this meeting, with new members always welcome.

LISTERHILLS AA: When the rubbish bins are full, would members please take their litter home – or better still, take it home anyway. Some quality roach are being caught at Rodley, with bread and caster the most successful baits. There was a close finish in the veterans’ match as E Harrison won with 22lb 8¼oz, just ahead of R Barker (21lb 13oz).

SALTAIRE AA: Sunday’s match was unfishable due to a high river level. For details of the next river match on Sunday, December 6, call Barrie on 07917-828826. BRADFORD No 1 AA: There has been a consignment of F1 carp and ide stocked in Raskelf Lake. This water continues to fish well despite the cold weather. The next match is at Cowthorpe on Sunday, December 13. Tickets are available from the tackle shop and Simon Foster.

UNITY AC: The Milby Cut at Boroughbridge is fishing well for roach and large pike. Dyehouse Dam is still worth a try for mixed bags. The membership is now only £3 until the end of the season, available from Wibsey Angling Centre in Bradford.

GREAT HORTON AC: Result of Christmas Cheer match at Poppleton: 1 K Noutch 19lb 14oz, 2 O Hudspith 16lb 14oz, 3 P Weston 11lb 9oz, 4 P Savage 6lb 13oz.

IDLE & THACKLEY AA: There is an open match on the River Swale at Swainby this Sunday. For bookings call 01274-615016.
