Vision under-12s produced an inspired second-half performance to claim a draw from four goals behind against HUDDERSFIELD LEAGUE leaders Westend.
Westwood had beaten Vision just a few weeks previously and eased into a 3-0 advantage before half-time.
They added a fourth goal after the interval but then Caden Wilkinson and Ben Adams reduced the arrears and Vision sensed a memorable comeback.
Wilkinson’s second goal and another from Vaughan Williams pulled them level and although Westend had a goal ruled out for offside, Vision were able to claim a deserved point.
Laisterdyke under-18s proved too strong for Brighouse as they wiped out a 3-1 interval deficit to log a 7-4 home win.
Michael Lowe set Laisterdyke on the road to recovery with two goals, with Aman Yasin, man of the match Bruce Mpofu and captain Shehbaz Khan helping seal the victory.
Matches between Bradford Tigers and Keighley Shamrocks at under-13 level are definitely not good for the heart.
Just a week after Shammies had won a 5-4 thriller at Parkwood Stadium, Tigers got their revenge 3-2 at Crag Road United in a CRAVEN LEAGUE basement battle.
Tigers were soon ahead when Jordan Kitching was brought down in the area, skipper Luke Duckett despatching the penalty and the hosts led 3-1 at half-time.
Kitching got the other two goals and although Shamrocks got one back in the second half, there were long periods of stalemate.
However, Shamrocks would surely have equalised late on were it not for brave goalkeeping by the newly-signed Jake Hewitson.
Rosie McDonnell was Tigers’ other man of the match as they moved four points in front of Shamrocks, who have played a game less.
Pip Greetham’s hat-trick could not save Wilsden Juniors under-12s as they lost a see-saw match 8-4 at Keighley Shamrocks.
Wilsden hit back from 1-0 and 3-2 behind to lead 2-1 and 4-3 thanks to Greetham and Luca Zenti but Shamrocks equalised just before the interval and then controlled the second half, although they had a let-off when a penalty struck the bar.
Man of the match Daniel Frost bagged a hat-trick as Thackley Thunder under-nines emerged 5-1 winners against Westwood Jets in the KEYBURY LEAGUE.
Ben Johnston scored direct from a free-kick and set up Michael Stewart from another to complete the Thunder scoring after the top-of-the-table clash was level 1-1 at half-time.
The Jets never gave up and Thackley goalkeeper Will Cummings had to make some important saves.
East Bowling Allstars saw their under-eight under-11 and under-13 matches postponed but the under-tens did play and were rewarded with a 1-0 win against Wilsden.
Zak Sangster scored the decisive goal as defender Kieran Henderson kept a clean sheet after taking over between the posts when Sam Foord got injured making a good save.
Jacob McIntosh struck at the double as Westwood Juniors under-eights continued their unbeaten run with a 3-2 home win against Albion Sports.
Lucas Keenen was also on target for Westwood, with Daniel Francis and Jordan Harrison excelling in defence.
Alex Gibson gave Bradford United Lizards the lead after just ten seconds at Shipley Tigers and they went on to win the under-eights contest 5-0.
It was 3-0 after five minutes with further goals from Gibson and Hasseb Alam, with Stefan Giangregorio adding two solo efforts in the second half.
United Scorpions beat Shipley 4-3 in their under-eights match after falling two goals behind early on.
Ali Arshad (2) and Jack Brimacombe made it 3-2 at the break and Daniel Webster added the killer fourth goal, although it needed some fine saves by Jack Fairlie to preserve the advantage.
United’s under-11s completed a hat-trick of wins for the club as they sent Sutton Juniors packing 10-0.
Josh McKiernan (2), Omar Powell and an own goal made it 4-0 at the interval, with McKiernan adding two more in the second half and man of the match Jack Mongan matching his four-goal tally.
