An understrength Keighley fell 17-12 in their first-round tie at Yorkshire Two side Leodiensians.

They led twice through tries by No 8 Andy Bennett and second row Sam Buckley, plus a conversion by Alex Brown, but failed to take other chances.

A spirited home side made the best of their limited chances, poor tackling letting in their first try before stand-off Winter converted a second to give his side the lead.

Midway through the second half, the home pack forced the decisive score from a maul close to the Keighley line.
