Former Hanging Heaton all-rounder Thilan Thushara has been ruled out of Sri Lanka’s Test series against India due to a shoulder injury.

The left-arm paceman injured his shoulder during practice on the eve of the ongoing first Test against India in Ahmedabad and was unable to play.

Thushara, who played for the Bennett Lane club in 2006 and 2007, is now set to travel back home to recover from the injury.

He will be replaced by Dilhara Fernando.
