City grabbed a point against leaders Bournemouth in a scrappy encounter at Valley Parade.
The game never really got going although the Bantams held their own against the side setting the League Two pace so far this season.
Bournemouth struck first after 33 minutes when Alan Connell released midfielder Anton Robinson who set up Brett Pitman for a simple tap-in. But his celebration in front of the Sunwin Stand did not endear him to the home fans.
The boot was on the other foot nine minutes later when Lee Bullock threaded a pass through for Gareth Evans. The striker, back from injury, had scuffed a similar chance early on but made no mistake second time around by coolly rounding Shwan Jalal to level.
The second half was scrappy fare with both sides guilty of giving the ball away too often.
Bournemouth threatened on a couple of occasions to restore their advantage. Robinson and Lee Bradbury wasted good chances and Simon Eastwood saved alertly from Pitman.
But City came back into it late on and Bullock was denied his first goal of the season by a superb reaction block from Jalal.
