The final member of the Bulls’ new Australian trio has been cleared to join the club.
Former Manly forward Glenn Hall’s visa application has been rubber-stamped, meaning he will arrive at Odsal next week alongside fellow Aussies Brett Kearney and Heath L’Estrange.
Half-back Kearney and hooker L’Estrange had been given the green light by the UK Border Agency but Hall was initially turned down.
The 28-year-old prop or second row had to reapply after a change in his family circumstances and was finally approved yesterday.
Football manager Stuart Duffy said: “Glenn’s visa application being approved means we can look forward to having all our new Australian signings in for pre-season training when they were scheduled to arrive and it’s a major boost.”
Meanwhile, the Bulls’ recruitment drive continues.
With one spot remaining on the overseas quota, they are hopeful of adding one more signing from the NRL and are looking for more possible additions. But Steve McNamara is happy with how the squad is shaping up.
“I’m very pleased with how hard and how tough they are working in pre-season training,” said the Bulls boss.
“There will be a few more coming back in and, in terms of building the jigsaw up, we are getting there now.
“There’s a little bit of tinkering still to be done to the squad but we have not got anything definite yet in terms of further arrivals.”
