Semi Tadulala’s career at Odsal is over.

The Fijian international has confirmed he will not be taking up the offer to stay at the Bulls for another year.

But the winger has not revealed where he will be playing.

Tadulala is hotly tipped for a switch to rugby union, with Gloucester reported to be the front-runners for his signature. But there have been no official noises from anyone so far.

Bulls chairman Peter Hood said: “I had a meeting with Semi but he was very coy about where he was going. But he isn’t going to be at Bradford next year.”

Worcester and Bath have also been mentioned but both sides have ruled themselves out.

Worcester director of rugby Mike Ruddock said: “It is that time of year when everyone is starting to look towards players who could be out there, but I can quite honestly say I haven’t considered that lad.”

Bath, who snapped up Shontayne Hape from the Bulls, were more blunt about it. Head coach Steve Meehan said: “I’ve never heard of him.”

There has been no comment from Gloucester, suggesting the 31-year-old could be on his way to linking up with former Bulls flyer Lesley Vainikolo.

Tadulala has bagged 36 tries in two seasons at Odsal, finishing top scorer both times.

Bulls were keen to keep him for another 12 months but he has been eager to try the 15-man code since a potential move from Wakefield to Gloucester in 2006 broke down over work-permit red tape.

With Sam Burgess off to Australia, Tadulala is the eighth player to leave the Bulls since the end of the season.

But they are expected to unveil a new face next week to go with Manly duo Heath L’Estrange and Glenn Hall.

* Glen Morrison and Craig Kopzcak are in the Wales train-on squad ahead of the end-of-season European Cup.

Harlequins-bound Matt James is also among the 31 players named. The numbers will be whittled down before the October 17 friendly with England in Bridgend. Burgess and Paul Sykes are in the England ranks.
