Captain Mark Smith inspired his Silsden Reds under-15s side to come from behind and log an impressive 7-1 Craven, Aire & Wharfe League win at Bingley Juniors.

Adam Cooper and Smith made it 2-1 at the interval and further Silsden goals followed from Kyle Moulson (2), Luke Wilson (2) and Jack Beetham .

Ollie Butterfield, Zack Conway, Ben Lowry and Smith kept things tight in defence.

Josh Whiteley scored half his side’s goals in a 10-0 romp for Idle Juniors under-14s against Farsley Celtic.

Idle also edged out Guiseley 4-3 after fighting back from two goals behind, a Patrick Cooper hat-trick proving decisive.

Prospect Juniors C under-12s went down by the odd goal in 13 against Horsforth, who were last season’s champions.

On target for Prospect were Dan Woffenden (2), Jordon Farrell (2), Johnny Durkan and Joel Friis, with Will Wood their man of the match.

With midfielder Jordan Kitching and centre back James Townend continuing their superb form, Bradford Tigers under-13s felt aggrieved to lose 3-2 at Skipton Town.

Bradford’s first-half form was not good enough but Kitching’s fine strike from a neat Danny Chapman pass gave them hope as they turned round 3-1 down.

An excellent team talk from coach Pete Davey put Tigers in the mood for the second half and Kitching got a second but they were denied the chance to level when Kane Welsh was brought down in the area only for no penalty to be awarded.

Joe Hutchinson scored the only reply as below-strength Wilsden under-12s lost 3-1 at Bolton Woods.
