Still no joy for Eagles

In the Wilkinson Sword Trophy - the sponsor’s name for the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Division One Cup - Eccleshill United, who are currently managerless after parting company with Steve Watson, exited the competition at the second-round stage tonight.

The Eagles were beaten 7-2 at Bottesford Town. Meanwhile, Brighouse Town failed to make the most of home advantage at the same stage and went down 2-1 to Rossington Main.
