Guiseley 1, Boston 3

Guiseley will be looking to bounce back with a positive result at Marine tomorrow after being beaten at home by Boston United in the UniBond Premier Division on Saturday.

Boston moved up to second in the table with the three points they earned from the game, while the Lions dropped down to 12th.

The home side were in front at the break after Anthony Lloyd netted a 44th-minute penalty.

But the visitors turned the game on its head with three goals in an 11-minute spell in the second half.

Danny Sleath restored parity in the 67th minute, Mark Newsham scored from the spot and Lee Canoville notched the third just a minute later.

After winning their opening two games, the Lions have lost two and drawn one ahead of tomorrow’s fixture at Marine.

Their Merseyside hosts lost 4-1 at new leaders Kendal Town on Saturday but are still above Guiseley on goals scored.

The clubs have almost identical records after the first five fixtures.

Both have seven points from a possible 15 and a zero goal difference, with the Lions scoring eight and Marine ten.
