One-time Bradford League leaders Bradford & Bingley returned to winning ways as they put a spoke in Yeadon’s 150-year celebrations with a 39-run win in a 40-over match.
The hosts restricted the visitors to 139 for nine on a wet pitch but Bingley hit back to bowl them out for 100.
Yeadon staged a weekend of celebrations with a dinner, anniversary match and re-union of ex-players, but the league match was threatened by rain on Friday and only took place thanks to extensive mopping up.
The boundary line was brought in, a new pitch was prepared and when the match began one hour late, Yeadon put Bingley in to bat and soon had them in trouble on an unpredictable pitch.
Greg Lambert was particularly hostile, taking the key wickets of skipper Phil Slater and Matthew Duce with successive deliveries, before Bingley were rescued by Chris Thompson.
He came to the wicket at 25 for three and made a crucial 62 as Bingley limped to 139 for nine, with Lambert taking three for 26 and Paul Machell three for 39.
Yeadon found batting just as difficult as Will Briggs and James Davies made the early breakthrough and then Slater took the important wicket of Danny Shuffe for 27 before mopping up the tail to finish with four for 15.
Baildon are level with Bingley on 210 points after inflicting a fourth successive defeat on defending champions Woodlands.
Left-arm paceman Andy Walker ripped through Woodlands’ early order, taking the first six wickets in a superb spell of six for 24 as he and slow left-armer Mustaq Ahmed (3-28) dismissed the home side for 112.
Safraz Ahmed hit back strongly for Woodlands with a spell of five for 35 but teenager Johnny Reynolds steered Baildon to their three-wicket victory with 21 not out.
This was Woodlands’ tenth defeat of the season and leaves them third from the bottom.
Fortunately for them, the bottom two clubs Mannin-gham Mills and Hanging Heaton could not take advantage. Mills suffered a 29-run defeat against Gom-ersal, while Hanging Heaton lost by 30 runs against Cleckheaton.
Opener Richard Gould was Gomersal’s top scorer with 72 as they posted a challenging 231 for seven. Muen-oddin Kadri made 61 in reply but Mills were dismissed for 202, with Ben Platt taking four for 30.
Neil Nicholson (65) top-scored for Cleck in their total of 200 for six before Hanging Heaton were bowled out for 170 with Mark Cummins taking four for 29.
Farsley gained a six-wicket win at Saltaire, who were all out for just 78 as Yorkshire second-teamer James Lee took three for 32 and Ayuz Akram three for ten.
Undercliffe are the new leaders of the Second Division after their 161-run win against Bowling Old Lane, Chris Taylor scoring his second successive ton.
They take over at the top from Bankfoot, who suffered a surprise 21-run defeat at Morley.
