Bradford rider Tom Barras continued to ride well despite his depleted team facing some tough opposition in both road races and criteriums over the last week.
Barras – who rides for Madison.co.uk – secured six points at the Otley Criteriums last month and boosted his National Elite Circuit Series tally dramatically when he took 31 points from sixth place in the Rochdale Grand Prix last week.
Also scoring points in the prestigious national series was Scott Thwaites, the Burley-in-Wharfedale cyclist who is also now riding for Madison.co.uk after moving from Crosstrax.
Thwaites was tenth over the line and is now 23rd overall, while Barras is 18th.
Also last weekend, the Madison team-mates tackled the Blackpool Grand Prix, where Thwaites was 14th in the face of tough opposition from international stars as well as the National Circuit Champion, Dean Downing from Rotherham.
