Four Bradford Thunderbirds players have been named in the 27-strong England women’s talent development squad that is preparing for a tour of France later this month.
Danielle Bose, Charlene Henegan, Kirsty Moroney and Rachel Twibill were selected after impressing in last month’s Carnegie Super 4 tournament involving the cream of the women’s game.
As well as preparing for the trip to France, all four will embark on a year-long programme to develop skills and all-round long-term player development.
The other clubs to have players in a squad which will be reduced to 20 before leaving for France on July 15 are Chorley Panthers, Copeland Wildcats, Coventry, Hillside Hawkes, Keighley Cats, Middleton, Nottingham Outlaws, Siddal Ladies, Wakefield Panthers and Warrington Ladies.
