Bradford’s Georgina Roberts, who plays for Darlington Mowden Park Sharks, has been named in the England women’s sevens squad for the European Championships in Hanover, Germany, next month.

A member of the wider England sevens squad, Roberts was not selected for the World Cup Sevens, where England reached the quarter-finals in March.

The tournament is on July 11-12 and England will be coached by former international Susie Appleby and RFUW club and coach officer Barry Maddocks.

England are top seeds for the championship and will play Spain, France, Sweden and Portugal in their group.
