Keighley’s Mary Fuller has been given her first England senior call-up.
The 16-year-old Oakbank School pupil will feature for the national women’s team against a touring team from India on Sunday, May 10.
Alongside the Oakbank Table Tennis Club member will be England’s No 1 and No 2 players Joanna Barker and Kelly Sibley.
Fuller, who has already represented England at under-12s, 13s, 15s and 18s, recently won the national women’s doubles crown with 13-year-old Emily Bates to become the event’s youngest ever winners.
Hans Soova, who coaches Fuller, said; “I am a proud coach. What an amazing season this is turning out to be for Mary.
“It is a reward for her dedication and hard work in practice. Mary always treats her practice as a challenge to improve whatever we set out to work on.”
