Guiseley 6 Worksop Town 0
Guiseley cut loose at Nethermoor to help their cause as they look to gatecrash the UniBond Premier Division play-off party.
The newly crowned League Cup holders treated the crowd to six of the best against lowly Worksop.
It took them less than two minutes to break the deadlock, Chris Bolder heading in a Simeon Bambrook corner.
Several other chances followed before the home side added to their lead in the 27th minute when Adam Muller converted James Hanson’s cross.
It was soon 3-0 as Jamie Walshaw lashed in a 20-yard effort and Dave Merris scored before the interval with another fine strike from outside the area.
A strong penalty claim when Walshaw appeared to be brought down in the area midway through the half went unnoticed.
There were fewer chances in the second half and Guiseley did not make it a nap hand until 18 minutes from time when Walshaw fed Muller for his second. The lively Walshaw also had a hand in the last goal as his assist ended with substitute Mark Thompson netting.
