Last Sunday’s match was fished in extreme conditions, with Bob Hall taking the spoils from peg 25 with a mixed bag. Results: 1 Bob Hall 1lb 12oz, 2 S Vaughan (peg 14) 15oz, 3 A Clough (peg 23) 12oz. There are still some nice pike being reported, with Fred Dunn taking a 17lb fish from peg 14. Pegs 33 to 38 worth a try, with sardine the best. The annual general meeting will be held on March 31, 8pm, supper included, at The Star, Bingley. When renewing your licence please only send front page of your yearbook with receipt attached to Mr S Webster, PO Box 62, Bingley BD16 3WR. All members please remember the EA rod and line licences run out on March 31. If you want to fish with more than two rods you must have a second EA rod licence.

The member who lost some tackle and a bag in Saltaire on February 15 has still not claimed his property. Would he please contact the general secretary. There is a working party at Pilley’s Dam this Sunday. Volunteers meet on the bank at 9.30am. Anglers who last year gave verbal intimation of fishing the National Championships on July 25 should contact the match secretary as soon as possible on 07984-597328. Saturday is the last day of the coarse season on rivers.
KEIGHLEY AC
The result of last week’s match on the river Aire was as follows: 1 Ian Needs (Bingley AC) 6lb 14 oz, 2 Jeff Noon (Keighley AC) 6lb, 3 Steve North (KL Tackle) 3lb 9oz. The match was won with five grayling taken on maggot. A fish of over 2lbs was also taken. Winning peg was No 10. The last match of the season takes place on the river at Steeton this Saturday.
