Liversedge will be wary of their neighbours Eccleshill United scenting a major upset as the Bradford rivals go head to head in the Kool Sport NCEL Premier Division at Clayborn on Saturday.
The hosts are mid-table but have lost a number of key players recently while the visitors remain rock-bottom but are showing signs of recovery.
The outcome is far from predictable, especially with the derby element.
Sedge lost games 3-1 either side of losing four regulars but they recovered from that by taking a maximum from their 3-0 victory at Nostell MW last weekend.
Manager Steve Newton did not venture into the transfer market after the spine of his team was lost.
Instead, he promoted some of the younger players from the reserves and the under-19s. He had always intended to bring through the club’s promising talent this term.
The Eagles have struggled all season but have taken a lot of positives from their last three games.
They scored four times at promotion-chasing Pickering Town but came away with nothing after losing 6-4.
Then they earned their fourth point of the season from a 2-2 draw at Brodsworth Welfare.
Last Saturday they lost out by the odd strike in a five-goal thriller at Hallam, another club chasing promotion.
