Bradford All Nations gained their second victory of the season in the Telegraph & Argus League when they overcame cup holders West Bowling 3-1 with a battling home display.

The hosts had the ball in the net after just five minutes but the goal was ruled out for offside.

However, ten minutes later they deservedly went in front when a cross from Alibaba Aka was hit home by Haruna Odunewu.

Both teams had chances to add to the score but neither team could find the net before the interval.

The second half started like the first with the hosts netting inside ten minutes. This time the goal counted as Joe Lamuna added a second.

The visitors came back into the game and were awarded a penalty that was saved by player/manager Babajide Awe.

West Bowling were made to pay when skipper Isaiah Kuti got a reward for his outstanding performance when he netted a third for All Nations.

Bowling’s goal in the dying minutes was only mere consolation.

East Bowling moved into third position when they outplayed and outfought Lidget Green in a one-sided 4-1 victory.

Steve Hollins hit a superb hat-trick for the visitors and a strike from Paul Kenny completed the scoring.

Carl Cavagan enjoyed a terrific game for the visitors against a Green side who were definitely second best on the day.

Abundant Life Church and Thornbury Youth shared four goals in a 2-2 thriller, Qasim Shafiq and Ole Thomassam scored for hosts Abundant Life.
