Eccleshill United are rock bottom of the Kool Sport Northern Counties East League Premier Division and still looking for their first point of the season but caretaker manager Stuart Waite has his side looking forward to their trip to the seaside.
They travel to Bridlington Town, who only lost their 100 per cent start to the campaign last Saturday. Brid won their first four games but the Eagles are on a mission.
Waite, who was placed in charge before last weekend’s FA Vase tie, will be overseeing his second game.
He said: “There were mixed feelings for me last Saturday, I was overjoyed with the performance but gutted by the result.
“Chris Bates came in at centre half and Aaron Oddy, a young kid from the Academy, also played and were magnificent. Though there were loads of displays that I could have picked out.
“I dropped myself to the bench so I could manage the side and only came on late when Gary Birchill went off.
"It was thought he had broken a bone, the X-ray’s were clear but he is obviously still a doubt for Saturday.”
