The first three home in the Otley 10k road race tonight were wearing race numbers one, two and three.
"The top runners are always seeded," said results chief Andrew Robertshaw.
Leeds City's Darren Bilton (left in the blue 1 shirt with yellow stripes) was a runaway winner in 52min 1sec, about three minutes ahead of Thirsk & Selby's Gary Dunn (2 in the yellow and blue shirt).
Third was Bingley's Stewart McDonald (3 in the blue and white top). Pocklington Runners' Helen Cross was the first woman home.
