We're ready to put on a Magic show

Jamie Langley column

Rugby league is probably the only sport in the world where you could imagine sets of supporters from 12 different clubs all mingling together enjoying a game with no trouble.

I remember going out for a coffee here in Cardiff on the morning of last year's match and the streets were just packed with fans from everywhere enjoying themselves.

It was a great sight and I'm sure the boys will be doing the same tomorrow to soak up some of the Millennium Magic atmosphere again before our big match with Leeds.

As players, we do like the chance to come down here and play an extra away fixture. Apart from London and Catalans, it's rare that we get too far away from the north and the idea of playing all six Super League games in Wales, promoting the sport in another country and putting on a real spectacle, is a good one.

We travelled down today and had our final training session. Now it's all about tomorrow night.

Like last year, I think you can throw the form book out of the window. It doesn't matter who's doing what or who's missing or playing, it's what happens in this next 80 minutes. We all know anything can.

We were good against Wigan last week but we've been working hard on a lot of areas we feel we still need to improve in ready for tomorrow and Leeds.

They performed extremely well at Hull KR and it's always clear they have danger right across the park.

Watching the video, you can see how Leeds can score tries out of nothing and sheer speed is their big weapon.

We have to counter that, stay switched on and get in control of our own game as we know what we are capable of ourselves when we play to our ability.

Lynchy's been in the wars this week, going blind for a couple of days after that Wigan match!

In the showers, he was spraying a solution onto his hands to help get off the sticky spray we use for grip.

It's really tough to get off so you have to use a special lubricant - but Lynchy just ended up squirting it straight into his eyes!

He already had a big, thick lip and a pile of stitches in his gum and then the next thing he's stuck with one eye. He looked a right mess!
