Wagga deserves his shot at Warriors

Jamie Langley column: It's another huge game for us tomorrow night after what has been a big start to the Super League season.

We played a Wakefield side in form, put in a good performance against Huddersfield but were off versus Saints last week and now we need to put that right at the JJB.

We need a big display. It's always a tough fixture going over there where you get a great crowd and atmosphere but it's one the lads are definitely looking forward to. I know Wagga (Wayne Godwin) is.

He's got his first start for us tonight due to Tez's injury and it's fully deserved.

Tez has been struggling on with his ankle for the last couple of weeks but he's unable to make it for another match and that gives Wagga his chance.

He's been at a lot of clubs and not got the recognition he's deserved but I think he's going to prove to people just how good he really is with us.

He obviously used to play for Wigan and has been talking it up this week about how many tries he scored while at the JJB.

It was 20-odd when he started the conversation but by the time he'd finished it had dwindled down to single figures! I'm sure if he got one tomorrow - and a win - he'll be pretty excited.

It's great to see Fev back too. He's had his fair share of injury problems so it's brilliant for him to be lining up alongside us again.

A quick word for our kit man Leigh Beattie.

He's been looking at getting his beach body in shape for the summer, ready for that bikini, so he's been hitting Slimmers World!

By all accounts, he's won Slimmer of the Week two weeks running but he's had a little slip up this time and put on three pounds. Too many fish and chip suppers.

We'll be rallying around to get him back on course though and among those awards again soon!
