Semi Tadulala has told Bulls boss Steve McNamara: I'm ready to fly.

The Fijian winger is named in the 20-man squad for Saturday's trip to Wigan, six weeks after fracturing his cheekbone against the Warriors in Paul Deacon's testimonial.

After missing the opening three rounds, Tadulala is now bidding to make a long-awaited Super League bow for his new club following a dream move from Wakefield.

He has insisted to his coach that he can step straight into the action at the JJB Stadium and said: "It's definitely a big, big match to come back in for but I feel good.

"I've been training hard. Martin (Clawson) has really put me and David (Solomona) through it so I don't think I'll find it too difficult slotting straight back in if selected.

"I feel comfortable and I've been training all this week doing full contact.

"The cheekbone feels okay and it's up to the medical and coaching staff now but I'm ready to go.

"After that shock start for me I want to leave it all behind and actually start my career with Bradford. I played in the trial games but I want some competitive action now and am just keen to get back out on the park."

Tadulala, 29, featured in pre-season against Dewsbury and Wakefield before breaking his face in a collision with winger Liam Colbon during a match which also saw Solomona crocked by a knee injury.

But Tadulala - who missed most of last year with a broken arm at Wakefield - had looked sharp against the Warriors in that Grattan Stadium friendly, picking up his first try for the club with a powerful finish in the corner.

McNamara has recently been running with centres Shontayne Hape and James Evans as makeshift wings following injuries to Tadulala and Tame Tupou but the fit-again wideman has set his sights on forming a new dazzling left-side partnership upon his return.

"I'm happy to play anywhere Steve plays me but I'd love to play outside Shontayne," he said. "I've seen how successful he and Les (Vainikolo) were and they are big shoes to fill.

"I don't want to be trying to replace Les - Les is Les and I am me - but I want to establish myself here and would prefer to do that playing outside Shontayne.

"He's a great centre. We were really good mates beforehand and knew each other off the field. That can make a lot of difference on it."

Bradford are in need of a win after a disappointing defeat to St Helens but they will face a tough test as they head to their play-off conquerors from last season.

"I think we owe them something for last year's loss," admitted Tadulala. "I know the boys were pretty devastated pretty devastated about that. They want to leave it behind and are looking to the future but I'm sure the older boys want to repay Wigan back.

"We've lost two out of three games so far in Super League this year but think we should have won them all.

"It's about improving every week and we feel we've worked on where things went wrong.

"It's early days and we're only going to get better. Hopefully if I get selected I can help us do that."

Tadulala comes in at the expense of second-rower Matt Cook - yet to feature this season - in the only change to last week's 20-man squad.

However, it is thought McNamara will mix things up in his starting line-up for Wigan.

Bulls: Platt, Evans, Nero, Hape, Tupou, Tadulala, Sykes, Jeffries, Harris, Deacon, Lynch, Burgess, Vagana, Newton, Godwin, Finnigan, Langley, Morrison, James, Halley.
